Multicultural Dinner, Thursday Nov. 20th

Our troop will be participating in the Multicultural Dinner at Cedar Way Elm. on Thursday Nov. 20th from 5:00 pm-8:30pm. The dinner gives each scout the opportunity to celebrate their heritage and our wonderful community. At our last meeting each girl chose a country that represents their heritage. (please see list below)

Scout families are encouraged to participate in this family event. Volunteers, are needed to help pass out samples while the girls explore the event. The girls will also be making a brief presentation of their country, so I am sure they would like you to be there to cheer them on.

At the meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 12th, the girls will give a brief presentation of their country and are asked to please bring a copy of the recipe they will be bringing to the dinner. We will be putting a cookbook together to share.

At the dinner, we will have at least two tables maybe three. We encourage the girls to bring artifacts to be displaced on our tables. The girls are invited to wear customary dress from their country. We will also have a clothing rack available for clothing to be displayed. If the girls will not be dressed in costume the organizers have asked the girls to wear the colors of their country (example: Italy's scout would wear red, green and white).

We are so excited to be able to participate in this event. Please do not hesitate to contact Diana Schnell at 425-672-9043 or Blair Sprouse 425-775-5198. Our troop e-mail is: troop41077@gmail.com
